Extra 300, G-OFFO and Extra 300, G-ZEXL

Summary:

The pilots of two aircraft were carrying out formation flying training. A deep echelon right manoeuvre was being flown when the upper aircraft initiated a turn to the right. The propeller of the lower aircraft contacted the underside of the right wing tip of the upper aircraft penetrating the structure through the full depth. Both aircraft remained in a safe flying condition and precautionary landings were made at North Weald.
