Summary:

The pilot was flying a normal approach to Runway 24 at a private airstrip. The weather was fine, with a surface wind of about 210º/10 kt. In the latter stages of the approach, the airspeed reduced unexpectedly quickly, resulting in a landing which was heavy but in a normal attitude. Damage to the undercarriage mounting bolts was later found, which was consistent with a heavy landing.
